We
are very excited about the growing use of Platinum in commercial
applications.
After
the first multi-family housing project in Manatee county got underway
last Spring, the county became aware of Platinum products and have
started using them in many of their projects as we mentioned last
month. Since then, Platinum’s attributes of faster construction,
lower cost and better energy efficiency have lead to use in more
commercial applications.
Construction
is currently underway in a project where Platinum is replacing CMU in
an adaptive rebuild of a restaurant in downtown St. Pete. It is
a 6 story chase wall made of Platinum product. This project gave
us a good opportunity to work with a well-known commercial architect
and structural engineer, helping them learn and understand how to
integrate our product into existing structures.
Another
commercial application is a single story office building in Tampa.
This project allowed us to work closely with another set of
architects, engineers and a new commercial contractor and the word
about Platinum continues to spread!
Platinum
is also working on project plans for many more commercial
applications, including a mid-size retail shopping building, a
mid-rise residential project in Saudi Arabia which would use Platinum
panels as the curtain walls, an office condominium, warehouse
condominiums, and a retail strip center.
